Teacher's Orientation Program was organized for the faculty of St. Joseph High School and St. Joseph PU College on the theme "Partners in the Mission of Empowering Young Minds: Roles and Responsibilities of Jesuit Educators." The program was held with the objective of fostering a deeper understanding of the Jesuit mission in education and strengthening the commitment of educators toward holistic student development. The event was inaugurated with a prayer and lighting of the lamp led by Rev. Father Leo Perera SJ,Superior , SJI Hassan. The resource person for the day was Ms. Renuka Zachariah, Lecturer at St. Joseph’s PU College, Bangalore. She shared valuable insights into the Jesuit legacy and the educator’s role in nurturing students not just academically, but also morally and spiritually. Under the coordination of Mr. Steevan Rodrigues A, the program featured a variety of engaging sessions including: - Ice-Breaking Activities to foster team bonding -A session on the Jesuit Legacy and Vision in Education -Discussions on the Roles and Responsibilities of Jesuit Educators -A Self-Relaxation Activity promoting mindfulness and personal well-being -Group Discussions to reflect and share perspectives on implementing Jesuit values in classrooms. The program concluded with a closing session, where teachers expressed their renewed motivation and clarity in their roles as Jesuit educators. The orientation served as an inspiring and enriching experience for all participants, aligning them with the vision of empowering young minds with compassion, integrity, and excellence.
